75 years ago today they stormed the beaches of Normandy because they believed in something bigger than themselves. Take a second to think about that. Not for instagram likes. Not for personal gain. They ran headlong into an uncertain future, praying they would somehow make it home. To family. To the country they loved. Some gave all. All gave some.
So the next time you are sitting at your keyboard ready to scream into the abyss to feed the fake outrage machine, ask yourself: is this helping to create the better world these selfless human beings died for? Would they be proud or embarrassed? If you won’t be part of the solution, at least don’t contribute to the problem. Life is short. Shorter every day. What you do while you’re here matters. What you leave behind matters. What will be our legacy?
